Hiking, Reality vs. Virtual Reality and Humming Birds
I'm blessed to have a mini gym in my basement so I can continue to workout during the colder Late Fall, Winter and Early Spring months. Does that mean I actually work out as much? Not really. My issue? My computer or a good book and a cup of coffee or tea calls more to me when it's cold outside than the basement. Ha!

One of the benefits of my photography business now - I'll be able to enjoy the outdoors so much more! But until then as we are currently in the throws of "is it Spring or Winter?" months of April and May, I'm still working out downstairs and the reason for the title of this blog post.
Thanks to iFIT I'm able to virtually hike some of my favorite spots, one of which is Thunderbird Falls in Alaska. It isn't the same, but at least I have the memories of the hikes I've taken in the past. Here's the example of my Real Hike vs. Virtual Hike:
The picture with my beautiful family was taken just last summer. The picture of the elliptical just this week.

I'm ready for a real hike again! One of my favorite spots a little closer to home is the Bierstadt Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. Funny enough I've never made it all the way to the lake. I'm always ladened down with my camera backpack to take photos of the hummingbirds who make an appearance every trip I take there. Here's just a small sample of the pictures I've taken in the years past including one with the proof of the camera gear which has only increased over the number of years. The picture of me was taken circa 2010.
The current view out my window is starting to show hints of green which make me even more antsy. Here's hoping I can create an updated post soon with photos for this year!

See you soon!
