My Story

Growing up in Alaska, I have always had a fondness for photography. It was more of a hobby when I was younger so to pay the bills I worked for a few real estate agents to put myself through college and I eventually even obtained my real estate license. While studying for my undergraduate degree I met and married my husband who is a general contractor.

After we married we relocated to the Lower 48 and my two pasts converged! I started working for a real estate magazine taking photogs of homes for the publication as well producing the custom layouts for multiple agents. I stepped away from this business to further other career aspirations (also known as working in tech and management positions to pay off student loans!) and most recently working with my husband starting his own contracting business.

Funny how my life has come full circle and I am now in a position where I can make my passions my career. My main goal with Horizon Photo is to aid real estate agents and contractors in expanding their marketing portfolios. The best satisfaction for me is producing content and seeing the reactions of my customers upon delivery of the final product. When I'm not in the middle of a photo shoot, you can find me out in nature! Preferably either taking wildlife and landscape photos, fly fishing or hunting with my husband, Johnny. I still take the occasional flight back to Alaska to visit family as well. Not gonna lie... it's nice to have free room and board in arguably one of the most beautiful states there is.
